The new style feature will no longer be solely about the specific looks and styles from my weekend. Instead I will be putting together looks that are effortlessly beautiful for all of you busy ladies who might just need a bit of inspiration and encouragement when it comes to letting the beauty on the inside show on the outside.
My hope is to show you that it is not difficult (or expensive!) to pull an outfit together and that you are worth a few extra minutes every morning to feel beautiful all day long.
This is my current go-to outfit. Post-baby bodies can be a bit tricky to dress and still look (i.e. feel like they look) nice. A few suggestions if you are currently sporting a post-baby body: 1. Start working out. 🙂 Exercise is so good for you both physically, mentally and emotionally. Trust me. 2. Invest in a great pair of ‘transition’jeans. Not maternity pants. This made a world of difference to me. For me, wearing clothes I wore while pregnant made me still feel like I looked pregnant. Not the look I was going for. I bought a pair of dark wash, straight leg jeans right after Adelee was born that I adore. They provide great structure and the long lines of a dark wash jean is very slimming. 3. Accessorize. (Accessories always fit, no matter if those pre-baby clothes are still not looking quite right yet.)

I am one very blessed lady. I have the best friends in the world and I am so thankful for them. This past Friday evening, my very best friends threw me and Adelee the most amazing baby shower. Adelee, you are one very loved and prayed for little girl. (And now you will be the […]
I spent all day Friday either in bed or on the couch. I was laid out with the most painful sinus infection. Imagine someone hitting your face with a baseball bat. Over and over. I have a pretty high pain tolerance which is often to my demise because when you couple that with my distaste […]
I hope your Easter weekend was amazing! Our church had a little Easter party on Saturday that was so much fun! I will be posting more about that this week. I needed to wear something comfy (but cute!) since I knew I would be running around the entire day so I chose maternity skinny […]
The Proffitt family had a great weekend! Due to our family entering a new season of life with Andrew starting t-ball (i.e. Saturday games) and then kindergarten in the fall we changed up our weekly schedule a bit and for the first time in 3 years, our day off was Saturday instead of Friday. It […]
A little black dress made complete with+ skinny leather double wrap belt for a defined waistline+ leather slouchy boots (to hide those veiny legs I currently have from baby #4)+ black rosette stud earrings+ black rosette hair pins (with side braid)+ black beaded bangles Super comfy and super cute = success for this pregnant mama!
Our family had a fun and busy weekend. We made our first trip to the beach of the season this Saturday and although this is a weekend wardrobe post, I am positive you do not want to see a photo of this prego in a bathing suit. 🙂 On Sunday, we had a great time […]
My wardrobe over the past couple months has mainly consisted of sweats and t-shirts. Dressing my ever-growing belly has proved to be interesting this time around. My doctor swears I am not any bigger with this pregnancy but my clothes are not quite fitting the same as they did in previous pregnancies… or maybe this […]
I am loving neutrals. Especially if they have a bit of sparkle, like the nude sequin tank below. I paired the tank with a brown cardigan and skinny black belt, wide leg trousers and nude pumps. The sparkly tank did not need much embellishment so for accessories I wore simple gold drop earrings. What do […]
