Travel Style: 10 Looks with 20 Pieces | Part Three: The Ankle Bootie | Intentional Style by Ashlee Proffitt and Megan Michele

I began this series by showing you the exact items I packed for my 10 day Italian Adventure along with a few tips on how to Build The Perfect Travel Wardrobe. Part One of the 10 Looks with 20 Pieces showcased the ever valuable Pixie Pant, Part Two we showed two ways to style The Jean Short and today I’m showing you the amazingly versatile Ankle Bootie.

As a reminder, a few benefits to packing intentionally and purposefully (i.e. items that can be worn in multiple ways) include:

  • Lighter load
  • Less money & time spent checking luggage
  • Greater mobility (because your usual heavy load isn’t weighing you down!)
  • Less time spent deciding what to wear
  • Minimizing excess

Megan Michele: Ankle boots are such a must in today’s fashion! There is something about them that is so casual, yet pulls any look together in such a effortless manner. They seemingly could be the most versatile shoe, able to pair with skirts, dresses, shorts, and all types of jean styles. And if you favor a wedge or low to mid heel, they can also be one of the most comfortable shoes you’ll own.

Ashlee: Full disclosure. At the last minute I pulled the ankle booties out of my suitcase and did not bring them on my Italian adventure. Worst decision ever. 😉 These boots are incredibly comfortable and a gorgeous pick-me-up to any outfit. In hindsight I wish I would have brought them!
