Bible Verse: Be kind and tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
(Memory Verse Printable)
FAMILY! The perfect verse that is wonderfully applicable to the theme of family!
Kindness. How can we display kindness? Pray for God to give us kind hearts.
Tenderhearted. What does tenderhearted mean? What are some ways we can be tenderhearted? Pray for God to give us tender hearts.
Forgiveness. What does forgiveness mean? We can forgive because of Jesus and His sacrifice for us!
Craft: B is for Blue Button (slide these sweet little pieces of artwork into a page protector and then in a 3 ring notebook to start creating a really sweet alphabet book! Please note the wear and tear on the example below! It is Andrew’s, my oldest son, and it’s about 3 years old. :))
Cut out a B shape from heavyweight paper
Paint the B blue!
Sort out all the blue buttons from mommy’s random stash of buttons (Great color practice, sorting practice and fine motor skill practice!)
Make a family tree as far back as you can remember. Talk about and list grandparents and great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins! Then, paint pictures of trees! Talk about how families are like trees, with lots of branches and deep roots.
Make cookies together. Then make cards for grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins. Let them know how much you all love them! Package the cookies up with the card and send to your family.
Visit a retirement home, nursing home or hospital. Take flowers, cards, balloons or just big adorable smiles to those who may be missing their family and feeling the weight of loneliness. Talk about how we can bless others who might not have a family.
